The Wyoming Resource Center for Self-Determination is dedicated to a simple idea: people with intellectual and developmental disabilities have better lives when they’re more in control of their lives.

That’s not just our belief, it’s backed up by decades of research. Study after study has shown that when people with disabilities make more decisions and direct their lives - when they have more self determination - they have better lives: they are more likely to live independently, be involved in their communities, work, make more money,  and be safer. 

On this website, we’ll show you ways for you and your loved ones to be more self-determined - at home and work, in the community, school, and the doctor’s office. We’re also here to answer your questions and refer you to people who will be able to help you!
